
The Brazos County grand jury has ruled the actions taken by law enforcement in the August 13th shooting on Fidelity Street in College Station were justified.
District Attorney Bill Turner says no further action will be taken regarding the incident that resulted in three deaths and four injuries.
The grand jury released a statement thanking and commending law enforcement for its skills and courage. The grand jury also extended its condolences to the victim’s families.
The shooting resulted in the deaths of Constable Brian Bachmann and a bystander, Christopher Northcliffe. Injured were a second bystander, Barbara Holdsworth of Houston, along with College Station Police Officers Justin Oehlke, Brad Smith, and Phil Dorsett. The incident also resulted in the death of the shooter, Thomas Caffall III.
