Game Dispute Leads to Knife Attack

What began as an argument over a video game early Friday morning, finished as a knife attack.

College Station Police Assistant Patricia Logan says there was a report that two people had been stabbed at the Doux Chene apartments.

Logan says Jose Munoz, 18, of College Station, and another resident were playing video games and play fighting, then got into an actual fight.

She says Munoz went to the victim’s bedroom with a large butcher knife from the kitchen and threatened to kill him, which resulted in the victim struggling with the suspect in an attempt to disarm him.

She says Munoz was arrested after receiving treatment for the cuts on his hands at the College Station Medical Center, while the victim was treated at the scene for superficial cuts on his chest.

Logan says it is unclear at this time whether drugs or alcohol were involved.
