Four Burglary Reports In B/CS Results In Seven Arrests

Four burglary reports in a 14 hour period in the twin cities results in the arrests of five adults and two juveniles.

College Station police responded to three burglaries in nine hours, leading to six arrests.

Thursday just after five p.m., CSPD responded to the report of two vehicles with smashed windows parked outside Planet Fitness at Texas and Southwest Parkway. Officers arrived while the suspect’s car was still there. Stolen property that was recovered included drivers licenses, credit cards, a cell phone, and newly purchased clothing. Three men who were arrested included 18 year old Deaunjae Lampkins and 22 year old Shauqille McMurry of Missouri City and a juvenile whose age was not available.

Friday just after midnight, officers were sent to The Grand apartments across Harvey Road from the mall on a citizens report of two men entering unlocked vehicles. 18 year old Kameron Holley of College Station and a 16 year old were arrested after a witness identified them. According to the arrest report, Holley said he was looking in the vehicles but denied opening doors. And the 16 year old said all he did was sit in the vehicles. Officers said several vehicles were rummaged through, but there was no reference to anything being stolen.

And Friday just after two a.m., officers responded to the mall for the report of someone inside J.C. Penney’s. Officers arrived to see a suspicious vehicle driving away. The vehicle was stopped and the driver matched the witnesses description. That led to the arrest of 43 year old Demond Finister of Houston for burglary of a building.

Bryan police responded to an initial report of a burglary Thursday morning around 11:30 south of Bryan High School at an office complex on Greenfield Plaza. The responding officer found the property manager and a maintenance man with the suspect. According to the arrest report, 25 year old Garrett Sterling Robinson told the officer he was looking for a place to sleep when he found an open door so he went inside the office. Robinson was arrested on charges of criminal trespassing and giving a false name. He is also be held on warrants from the Odessa area in west Texas.
