Four Brazos County District Court Criminal Cases Result In Prison Time For Six Men

The 22nd time a 32 year old Bryan man is booked in the Brazos County jail since June of 2011, it’s to await going to a state prison or state jail for the fourth time. Online records show Lamar Deere entered a guilty plea on April 16th to crimes in four felony and three misdemeanor criminal cases. But sentencing did not take place until April 30th. Deere’s punishment of six years was for felonies that took place in 2024 and 2025 that includes possessing marijuana and controlled substances and unlawful possession of a firearm. Deere previously served three stints in state facilities for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle that took place in 2013, 2015, and 2018.

A former College Station resident has admitted to participating in a residential burglary and aggravated robbery of two people that took place in June of 2017. Brazos County district court records shows 30 year old Dvonte Jackson of Austin entered guilty pleas on March 25th. But it would be another five weeks, until April 30th, before he was sentenced to five years for his role in the October 2017 crime where a gunshot grazed the head of one victim and a second victim was pistol whipped. Last month’s plea agreement followed setting a trial date 13 times over a six year period. Two other adults were previously convicted. In January 2019, 29 year old Bobby Jones Jr. of College Station was sentenced to 10 years, which was suspended as he was placed on probation for eight years. And in April of 2022, 30 year old Ledarius Hill of College Station was sentenced to 10 years.

A 50 year old Bryan man with two last names in Brazos County jail and district court records is headed to prison for a total of three years for two sets of crimes that happened in the last two years. Fernando Basilia, also known as Fernando Basilio, admitted to possessing cocaine and evidence tampering for trying to swallow the cocaine that took place in September of 2024. In a second case, he admitted to DWI with two prior convictions and possessing a controlled substance that took place in September of 2025.

A man who was lived in College Station who admitted to hitting and choking his girlfriend in November 2020 is headed to prison. Brazos County district court records show this is the second time that 28 year old Kyle Ray of Normangee was found guilty of violating probation. During last week’s court hearing (April 30), Ray was sentenced to five years for family violence strangulation that happened in November of 2020. At the same hearing, he also pleaded guilty to felony possession of a controlled substance and misdemeanor DWI that took place in 2024.
