Former Texas A&M Star Basketball Player Dies

Former Texas A&M men’s basketball player David Edwards has died following complications from the coronavirus.

Edwards began his career at Georgetown University before transferring to Aggieland before the 1991-92 season. In three years with the Maroon & White, the New York native averaged 13.5 points per game to go along with 7.1 assists and 4.9 rebounds.

Edwards led the Southwest Conference with 265 assists in 1993-94, which remains the program’s single-season record.
