SAO MIGUEL, Azores – Former Texas A&M diver Jessica Macaulay earned the silver medal at the Portugal stop in the 2019 Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series on Saturday. Macaulay finished with a 304.70 final score on the fourth stop of the seven stop series.

Since 2009 the Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series has provided a platform for aesthetic action and dives of incredible complexity, free-falling from up to 27-meters. The 2019 World Series features seven stops, which includes the Philippines, Ireland, Italy, Portugal, Lebanon, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Spain. Macaulay’s next stop in the tour is in Lebanon on July 14.

Macaulay has represented the United Kingdom throughout the World Series and is currently in third with 360 points. In 2018, she secured the first ever podium for a female British diver in the World Series in only her second appearance.

A native of The Woodlands, Texas, Macaulay was a member of the Texas A&M women’s diving program from 2010-2014. She had the second highest platform dive in program history during her junior year, finishing with a final score of 328.20.
