Former College Station Councilmember Asks The City Switch Welcome Bags To A Welcome App

Former College Station city councilwoman Elianor Vessali spoke during the council’s last meeting to promote replacing welcome bags that are given to new renters and homeowners with an app that provides the same information.

Vessali says the app should also provide property owner and tenant information that can be used by the city’s code enforcement office.

Vessali resigned last November to run for Congress.

The remainder of her unexpired term is one of four seats College Station voters will decide in this November’s election.

Because Vessali spoke during the public comment portion of the council meeting, state law does not allow council members to respond.
