Former A&M Quarterback Arrested for Marijuana Possession

A DPS trooper recognized a driver he had stopped the Sunday night before Christmas was former A&M quarterback Reggie McNeal.

The officer, who pulled over McNeal because the license plate light wasn’t working, wound up taking him to jail for possessing a personal use quantity of marijuana.

According to the arrest report, the trooper searched McNeal and his car after smelling marijuana.

The officer says he found a baggie and a blunt cigar, both containing what he believed to be marijuana.

McNeal was in jail less than two hours before being released on bond.

McNeal, who played for A&M from 2002 through 2005, lives in Bryan and according to The 12th Man Magazine had returned to school with plans to graduate next spring.
