Fog A Contributing Factor To A Fatality Crash South Of Navasota

Dense fog Monday morning is considered to be a major contributing factor to a fatality crash south of Navasota.

The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) reports the collision was at the intersection of Highway 6 and FM 2.

According to the preliminary investigation, a westbound car failed to yield the right of way and was struck by a northbound three ton pickup truck.

The driver of the car died at the scene. The driver of the truck was not transported from the scene for medical treatment.

No names have been released of those involved in the crash, which was reported Monday at 9:20 a.m.
