No. 25 Texas A&M rode another offensive explosion to slug past Tennessee Tech, 23-7, Saturday afternoon from Olsen Field at Blue Bell Park. The Maroon & White belted five home runs and four doubles, while drawing 12 walks in the overwhelming win.
Nine Aggies recorded a hit, while five logged multiple hits. In six innings of offense, Texas A&M (2-0) scored in five. Through the first two games of the 2026 campaign, the Maroon & White have scored in 11 of 14 innings.
The home team sent 15 batters to the dish in the bottom of the first, scoring nine runs on seven hits and three walks. Wesley Jordan led Ol’ Sarge’s charges offensively, blasting a pair of opposite-field homers for two RBI and two runs scored, also drawing three walks. Gavin Grahovac and Caden Sorrell each drilled a home run and plated four RBI. Grahovac finished the contest 3-for-3 with four runs scored, and Sorrell was 2-for-4 and touched home plate three times. Jake Duer smashed his first home run in the Maroon & White over the left field wall and finished the game 2-for-3 with two runs scored, three RBI and a walk.
Boston Kellner continued to impress at the plate in his first collegiate series. After logging a pair of doubles on Opening Day, the freshman followed with another two doubles in Saturday’s contest, plating two runs while scoring two more on his own. The Chandler, Arizona, native also reached base twice via walk.
Weston Moss was tabbed the winning pitcher in the first weekend start of his career. The righty worked 5.0 innings, allowing seven hits, four earned runs and punched out six Golden Eagles. Gavin Lyons entered in relief, tossing 1.0 inning and suffered one hit and an earned run, striking out two. Freshman Hunter Vincent handled the deciding seventh frame, allowing three hits and two earned runs. The lefty also recorded the first two strikeouts of his collegiate career.
