The owners of Chubby’s Public House announced on Facebook today that they will close their doors in December. Their last day of business is scheduled for Saturday, December 19, 2026. The pub and restaurant opened on August 15, 2023 at 3700 S Texas Ave in Midtown Bryan. Many local food reviewers online have said they’re one of the best hamburgers in town. After a lot of thought and many conversations, we’ve made the difficult decision to close our doors. Our planned final day of business will be Saturday, December 19th. For years, we’ve had the privilege of serving this community, and we truly cannot thank all of you enough for the support, friendships, laughs, celebrations, and memories you’ve shared with us along the way. We’ve had some incredible days, some absolutely crazy days, and probably more than a few days where we wondered how we were going to make it through the next rush! Through all of it, you showed up — and that has meant more to us than we can put into words. This business has been a huge part of our lives, and closing it is not a decision we made lightly. But sometimes it’s time to turn the page and start the next chapter. Between now and December 19th, we hope you’ll come see us one more time — and, most importantly, come support the amazing people who have been here working hard, taking care of our customers, and helping make this place what it is. Our staff has been a huge part of this journey, and we’d love nothing more than for them to feel the support of this community during our final weeks. Come have one more meal. Have a drink. Say hello. Bring your friends. Make some memories with us. To every customer, employee, friend, family member, vendor, and supporter who helped make this place what it was: Thank you. Truly. We are incredibly grateful that we got to be a small part of your lives. So, until December 19th, come see us, support our staff, and let’s make these final weeks ones we’ll always remember. Here’s to the memories — and whatever comes next.
