College Station police respond to a call at Wolf Pen Creek Park from a mother who reported her son was tased and was bleeding. The CSPD arrest report says the man was treated by firefighter paramedics for injuries that also included being struck on the back of the head with a rock and struck in the face. The victim told officers he did not fight back because he thought he would be arrested. And the victim said no one at the park responded to his calls for help. The victim’s ex-girlfriend, 18 year old Angelia Angel of College Station, was arrested for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, smashing her ex-boyfriend’s phone, and resisting arrest. At the jail, CSPD also charged Angel for bringing in a THC vape pen. As of July 4, jail records show Angel remains held without bond on the aggravated assault with a deadly weapon charge.
An inmate at the Brazos County juvenile detention center was moved to the adult jail the same day Brazos Count commissioners are told the juvenile center population was the lowest in recent history. An arrest report from the sheriff’s office says 17 year old Byron Thompson Jr. of Anderson is charged with kicking a juvenile detention officer five times in the leg during dinner last Friday (June 30). As of July 4, Thompson remains held in lieu of a $20,000 dollar bond on a charge of assaulting a public servant and a hold for juvenile authorities.
