The three year old Plantersville area boy who was found alive after being in the woods for three days will head home from the hospital with a big escort.

According to a Facebook post from Grimes County sheriff Don Sowell Sunday evening, Christopher Ramirez likes the police and fire departments.

The sheriff says they will provide an update for everyone who helped in the search to give them an opportunity to join the escort.

Sowell wrote in a Facebook post Saturday that a “kind and humble citizen” found Ramirez Saturday morning, describing the man who did not want to be identified “was indeed a special and Guardian Angel that was in the right place at the right time.” The man also told the sheriff “that God told him at Bible study yesterday (Friday) evening to go look for him and he would find him. This (Saturday) morning the man did just that and the rest is a happy ending to this story.”

From Bryan Broadcasting sister station Navasota News:

Authorities have located the missing Christopher Ramirez alive.

Grimes County Sheriff Don Sowell said in an update Saturday that they received a call from a citizen who heard something in a wooded area. When they arrived around 11:15 am, he said they found a healthy 3 year old Christopher Ramirez.

All in all, Christopher was found healthy, and was smiling in the arms of his mother, according to Sowell. He was checked by paramedics, and drank lots of water.

Christopher was missing for almost 72 hours. Assisting in the search were numerous local law enforcement agencies and first responders, the FBI, Homeland Security and Texas EquuSearch.

No further information was released on exactly how Christopher ended up there.
