Economic Optimism Seen From Chamber Day Survey Results

Earlier this year, 130 volunteers with the Chamber of Commerce had face-to-face contact with 679 businessowners and decision-makers.

Results have been compiled, and Chamber President Royce Hickman says there is plenty of optimism.

For instance, 40 percent expected an increase in local business and 58 percent would be the same.

67 percent of those surveyed expected to increase the number of employees this year and 29 percent said staffing levels would remain the same.
