DWI Arrest Follows Crash Between Millican And Navasota, And A Man Awaiting Two DWI Trials Is Arrested For Driving Without A License With Two Prior Convictions

A crash that caused a traffic backup on Highway 6 between Millican and Navasota Monday afternoon led to a Calvert man being arrested on a DWI charge. According to the DPS arrest report, 63 year old Johnnie Gilmore had a breath alcohol level more than three times the legal limit at .279 and .273. Gilmore told the trooper he was headed north to go home, but the crash was in the southbound lanes. Gilmore remained in the Brazos County jail Tuesday afternoon in lieu of a $3,000 dollar bond.

A Bryan man awaiting trial on two DWI charges from June and July of 2019 is arrested for driving without a valid license with two prior convictions. According to a Bryan police arrest report, that’s after a BPD officer stopped a pickup for not having an operating brake light. 26 year old Juan Jose Garcia Jr., whose license has three active suspensions, is out of jail after posting a $2,000 bond.
