A woman crashed her pickup into a parked fire truck near Northgate early Saturday.
The College Station Police and Fire Departments were on the scene of a wreck on Wellborn near University just after 2:30am Saturday morning. The fire truck was blocking a lane of traffic to allow responders to safely work the scene.
21-year-old Kylee Cheyenne Davis, of Midland, then drove her pickup into the fire truck on scene. No one was injured, but the impact was enough to cause significant damage to the fire truck’s diamond plate bumper.
Reports say Davis was unable to stop swaying and failed a field sobriety test. She reportedly admitted to drinking 3 to 4 shots and 2 to 3 beers.
She refused a voluntary blood sample, but a warrant obtained and a sample was taken at St. Joseph Health Regional Hospital in Bryan.
Davis was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated. She remains jailed on $5,000 bond.
