Brazos County sheriff’s deputies at the scene of a disorderly conduct call Wednesday afternoon led to the discovery of almost $6,000 dollars of illegal drugs. Outside a home south of the airport on Robin Lane, which is near Rock Prairie and Dowling…a man was found who was wanted on misdemeanor charges. According to the arrest report, 24 year old Luis Reyna of College Station gave permission to allow a search of two vehicles. That resulted in finding in a car, two mason jars containing marijuana valued at $4,200 dollars…and in a truck finding methamphetamine valued at $1,600 along with more $1,400 in cash. The deputies seized the drugs, cash, and the car.
A motorcyclist who wiped out on the freeway in College Station last May had a blood alcohol level six times the legal limit. 40 year old Billy Mathis Junior of College Station was arrested this week for DWI and to serve time for a 2013 arrest for driving with an invalid license. According to the arrest report, two witnesses told police Mathis was drifting between lanes before losing control on the freeway at Fitch. Mathis’s b-a-c measured .48.
Another drunk driving arrest in College Station took place Tuesday night outside a liquor store. According to the arrest report, a witness saw 24 year old Thomas Heitbrink hit a parked vehicle twice at the Spec’s on Texas hear Harvey and not leave information. And after a store employee refused to sell Heitbrink alcohol because he was too intoxicated, the witness saw him having trouble getting his keys into the ignition. A patrolman stopped Heitbrink at Texas and University, where the arrest was made for DWI and striking an unattended vehicle.
