Downpours And Power Outages From Early Tuesday Morning Storms

Thanks to WTAW listeners for sharing rainfall reports from early Tuesday morning storms.

While the National Weather Service website for the official rain gauge at Easterwood Airport measured .11 hundredths of one inch, WTAW received text messages reporting between 1.65 and 4.5 inches.

The BTU outages website reported a total of 35 outages affecting 63,097 customers.

Through 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, messages to WTAW’s text number 979-695-1620 reported:

1.65 New Tabor community east of Caldwell
1.75 Bryan (Old Oaks and Barak neighborhood)
1.95 Shepherds Creek subdivision near North Zulch
2.00 Bryan (along FM 1179 one mile east of Boonville Road)
2.00 College Station (Wellborn neighborhood)
2.35 Bryan (Copperfield/Miramont neighborhood)
2.50 south of FM 60 at the Brazos River between College Station and Snook
3.00 Harmony community south of Caldwell
3.00 Royalty Pecan Farm at Highway 21 west of the Brazos River
3.09 west of Snook
3.40 near Wixon Valley
4.50 Smetana community west of Bryan
