Divided College Station City Council Expanding Parking Ban City Wide For Commercial Trucks And Trailers

A four to three College Station city council vote expands a ban of parking commercial trucks and trailers from residential neighborhoods to anywhere inside the city limits.

The motion to approve was made by Dennis Maloney and seconded by Mark Smith. Also voting yes, were William Wright and Bob Yancy.

Voting no, were Linda Harvell, Elizabeth Cunha, and mayor John Nichols.

Enforcement is scheduled to start October 1st, following a period of what city staff says calls “public notification and education”.
