The reminders include removing all valuables and locking your vehicle, along with parking in well lit areas.
When it comes to protecting your home, the doors should always be locked and boxes from recent electronics purchases should be taken directly to the dump (not left in your front yard to advertise to crooks that the specific item is inside the home).
CSPD continues to urge citizens to call them anytime they see something out of the ordinary.
The vast majority of arrests being made in these burglary cases start because police get a tip that something is in progress.
If you witness an emergency be sure to call 9-1-1.
