CSISD Board Holds First Rezoning Hearing

The College Station school board hosted the first of three public forums Wednesday night on proposed changes in attendance zones. Over 100 who attended heard none of the 17 speakers support recommendations made by a 37 member committee.

Most of the speakers, including Fiesta Garrett, wanted all the schools at all grade levels to be close to the district average of 40 percent of students on free and reduced lunches.

Two more forums will be held, next Tuesday and the following Thursday, at 7 p.m. at the Consolidated High School auditorium.
