CS Police Weekend Investigations

A Sunday night crash in College Station left one Texas A&M Univesity student hospitalized and another in jail suspected of drunk driving. Police responded to the two vehicle wreck at Harvey Mitchell Parkway and Jones-Butler Road. A witness told officers a pickup on Jones-Butler failed to stop and struck the driver’s side of a car on Harvey Mitchell. Driving the car, 21 year old Lindsay Ochoa of Keller, is hospitalized with a fractured neck and broken knee. The driver of the truck, 20 year old Gregory Higginbotham of Coppell, was not hurt. He was arrested for intoxication assault.

What started for College Station Police as an aggravated assault may become an investigation of filing a false police report. Sunday morning before sunrise officers received a call from a local emergency room of a 25 year old man saying he had been stabbed outside a bar in the Northgate neighborhood. Later, officers determined the wounds were self-inflicted. A cut to the arm was serious enough to require surgery.
