CS Police Looking For Dog Bite Victim

From College Station police:

On 2/28/16, College Station Animal Control received a report of a dog bite. The bite was reported by a witness. The witness said he intervened in a dog attack/bite near Frost and Faulkner in the Foxfire subdivision around 1645 hours today.

The witness said the victim, a white female, was walking a black Labrador-type dog and was being attacked by a gray Schnauzer. Another small dog, black and white in color, was also in the area, and barked at the victim but did not bite or otherwise act aggressively to the victim.

The victim was actively kicking at the Schnauzer, trying to get it away from her. The witness was driving an all-terrain vehicle (ATV), and maneuvered himself and it between the loose dogs and the victim to allow her to get away. The Schnauzer redirected its attention to the ATV, and began biting at the tires. The victim left the area.

The witness said the victim was a white female with brown hair, was approximately 45 years of age, and was wearing a maroon sweatshirt and black leggings. The witness believes the victim lives in the Woodcreek subdivision.

College Station Animal Control is asking for help from the public in locating the victim in the bite. The victim needs to be located to rule out possible rabies exposure from the attack. If you have any information about this case, please call (979) 764-3600.
