CS Court Administrator Fired

College Station city officials announced Wednesday the firing of its Municipal Court Administrator.

And the department head is being investigated by the Brazos County District Attorney’s office.

The city’s news release stated Carol Arnold was let go last Friday for failing to follow departmental procedures in the handling of money.

The termination was after city management learned of the D-A’s look into the possible theft of court funds.

City officials would not confirm whether there is any loss and if so how much. The city has started an internal audit.

Arnold was named Court Administrator in October 2004. She was a city employee since 1984 when she was hired as an accountant.
