Correa, McCormick go deep to lead ‘Stros past Rangers

Carlos Correa and Chas McCormick went deep and the Houston Astros steamrolled the Texas Rangers Thursday night, 12-1 at Globe Life Field in Arlington.

Alex Bregman drove in four runs for the ‘Stros while rookie right-hander Luis Garcia picked up his 11th win of the year, allowing one earned run in 5.1 innings.

Houston will return home Friday night to host Arizona at 7:10 p.m. at Minute Maid Park.

Meanwhile, Texas tries to bounce back as it entertains the Chicago White Sox at 7:05.
