College Station police continue to investigate a collision between a motorcycle and a vehicle that killed the motorcyclist.
A CSPD news release says the motorcyclist, 49 year old Joshua Haynes of Conroe, was wearing a helmet.
The news release does not say if anyone in the vehicle was injured.
The crash, Sunday (October 19) just before noon at Longmire and Sara, closed the intersection for nearly three hours.
News release from College Station police:
At 11:40am, dispatch received multiple 911 calls of a major crash involving 1 vehicle and 1 motorcycle at Longmire Dr and Sara Dr in College Station.
Multiple bystanders administered CPR on the motorcyclist until emergency personnel arrived on scene.
The motorcyclist unfortunately died from his injuries on scene.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
He was wearing a helmet during the crash.
Detectives, Crime Scene Technicians and Accident Reconstruction responded to the scene.
The motorcyclist that died as a result of the crash has been identified as:
Joshua Spann Haynes of Conroe, TX age 49
The roadway was re-opened around 3:30pm.
