Critically Injured College Station Utilities Electric Lineman Expected To Be Released From The Hospital This Week

A week after an electric lineman with College Station Utilities was critically injured, he is expected to be discharged from a Houston hospital.

The lineman was remembered during the opening prayer of last Thursday’s College Station council meeting by mayor John Nichols.

The College Station lineman who was critically injured on June 24 is recovering well in a Houston hospital. His condition is no longer life-threatening, and he is expected to be discharged later this week. At this time, the family would like to remain anonymous. The lineman and his family thank everyone for their prayers.

A College Station Utilities (CSU) lineman is hospitalized after being critically injured in a workplace incident Monday morning (June 24).

A city news release says the unidentified employee sustained a high voltage electric shock while working on equipment near the city’s Carter Creek wastewater treatment plant.

A College Station Utilities lineman was critically injured Monday morning by a high-voltage electric shock while working on electrical equipment near the Carter Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant. Co-workers administered life-saving treatment with an on-site AED until College Station Fire Department personnel arrived, took over treatment, and transported him to a local hospital.

Additional details are not yet available. The thoughts and prayers of CSU and City of College Station employees are with the lineman, his family, and co-workers.
