The city of College Station is encouraging utility customers who pay their bills by snail mail to go to paperless billing.

Communications director Colin Killian says College Station Utilities (CSU) customers who enroll in paperless billing through the city’s customer portal by April 13th will be entered in a drawing to win one of five $250 utility bill credits.

CSU customers who are already using paperless billing are automatically entered.

In February 2026, CSU snail mailed 20,655 statements, while e-bill notifications were sent to 30,776 customers.

Killian says the contest is sponsored by the company that the city hired to provide electronic billing solution. The contest is not paid by customer utility revenue.
