College Station School Board Members Award A Multimillion Dollar Contract To Continue Improvements At Two Middle Schools

There’s enough money from a bond issue passed by voters in the College Station school district in 2015 to continue renovations and buy new furniture at Consolidated and College Station middle schools.

The CSISD school board this week approved a nearly $6 million dollar contract as recommended by facilities director Jon Hall.

The base bid was low enough that there’s nearly $1.5 million in additional work. That list includes $350,000 at each school for new student and teacher desks and $400,000 for unexpected contingencies.

Hall answered a board member’s question about keeping teachers and staff in the loop in preparing for this summer’s project. That includes spending $60,000 dollars in relocation services.
