College Station Police Was Waiting To Catch Accused Jewelry Thief

$24,000 dollars of jewelry from College Station’s J.C. Penney store was recovered early Friday morning.

College Station police tracked the man who broke glass doors to get into the store around two a.m.

Officers were waiting as the man returned to his rental car.

According to the arrest report, another law enforcement agency tipped CSPD about 48 year old Demond Finister coming to town from Houston.

Finister, who is also accused of breaking glass display cases to get to the jewelry, is in the Brazos County jail in lieu of bonds totaling $150,000 dollars.
