College Station Police Issue Scam Alert Involving Painting House Numbers On Street Curbs

The newest scam alert in the twin cities involves leaving money taped to your front door if your want your house number painted on the street curb.

College Station police is aware of flyers offering this service. According to a CSPD tweet, they have not been able to verify if the flyer represents a business.

And the city has not issued a home solicitor permit that is required for this service.

Two hours after the alert, CSPD issued an update stating “A couple of residents have mentioned they did make payment and DID receive the service.”
