The death of a baby is being investigated by College Station police.
CSPD social media states police and fire responded to an apartment complex at Holleman and Anderson Wednesday morning to the report of an infant who was not breathing.
The baby died after being transported to a local hospital.
November’s meeting of the College Station ISD school board included an update about construction projects funded by voter approved bond issues in November 2023 and May 2024. A pedestrian was struck by a train in College Station Thursday morning (November 21) A Union Pacific spokeswoman tells WTAW News that this happened around 7:15 a.m. on the tracks along Wellborn Road at a location that was not at a crossing. The pedestrian was taken to a hospital and the train crew was not hurt. In the comments section of the College Station police department’s Facebook page, an 18 year old student was struck. The man was walking near, but not on the train tracks. He suffered non-life threatening injuries and his family was notified. CSPD’s Facebook page says the intersection of Wellborn and Holleman West was shut down while police and railroad investigators were on the scene.
