Activities at a Bryan church’s children’s learning center are disrupted by a woman who was arrested on charges of threatening to kill the director and 15 to 20 children. Bryan police arrest reports say the woman was outside the St. Joseph Catholic Church early learning center banging on a window and making the threats. The director locked the doors, moved the children into the library, then called police. 46 year old Laterya Torrence of Bryan was charged with making a terroristic threat, resisting arrest, giving a fake name, and possessing drug paraphernalia. As of May 20, Torrence remains in the Brazos County jail in lieu of bonds totaling $14,000 dollars.
