College Station police arrest a second person for an armed robbery that took place in October 2023.
CSPD arrest reports say 18 year old Audreas Gibson is accused of participating with another 18 year old, Nathanael Aniello in taking two guns, $600 dollars, and a pair of Air Jordan shoes and pistol whipping the victim.
CSPD’s arrest report and social media does not disclose details of Gibson’s arrest last Friday (March 29th), which happened two days after Aniello was taken into custody without any issues with the assistance of the SWAT and hostage negotiation teams.
Gibson remains jailed as of April 1 in lieu of a $50,000 dollar bond on an aggravated robbery charge.
Aniello remains jailed as of April 1 in lieu of bonds totaling $91,000 dollars from the robbery, the theft of a car in Bryan last Thursday (March 28), and possession of a controlled substance at the time of his arrest last Thursday.
Original story:
Members of the College Station police department’s SWAT and hostage negotiation teams spent part of Thursday morning (March 28) in a residential neighborhood east of the freeway and between Southwest Parkway and Harvey Road.
The additional officers were at a home on Wingate Court, which is off of Appomattox Drive and north of Windwood Park.
Officers arrested 18 year old Nathanael Aniello on an aggravated robbery charge.
A CSPD spokesman tells WTAW News that Aniello is accused of being one of three suspects involved in an October 2023 robbery of a pair of shoes, where the victim was pistol whipped by one of the suspects.
A post on CSPD’s Facebook page says their special units were deployed to Aniello’s home “due to the violent nature of the warrant”. The post says Aniello was arrested without incident.
Officers went to the home on Wingate Court due to information that was obtained during the investigation of a stolen vehicle from Bryan that was found in College Station. The CSPD Facebook post and the CSPD spokesman did not say if Aniello was accused of being involved with the stolen vehicle.
Brazos County jail records show Bryan police issued an arrest warrant charging Aniello with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. That incident took place March 28th.
Online jail records show Aniello is held on the armed robbery charge in lieu of a $50,000 dollar bond. Bond on the charge of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle was set at $25,000 dollars. And he was also charged with possession of a controlled substance, where bond was set at $16,000 dollars. Aniello remained in jail as of midday on March 29th.
Online court records show Aniello is awaiting two trials on misdemeanor charges. One accuses him of unlawful carrying of a weapon and possessing a controlled substance in July 2023. The other accuses him of evading arrest in January 2024.
