College Station police take a Centerville man to the Brazos County jail for the second time in five weeks on drunk driving charges.

Last Friday (June 13) just before six p.m., CSPD officers were sent to a crash on Holleman South north of Graham Road, where a Ford F-250 pickup rear ended a small car then struck head on a SUV.

The driver of the small car was taken to the hospital with a broken pelvis, a broken femur, and broken ribs. As of last Friday night, that driver was in critical condition.

CSPD arrest reports says witnesses saw the truck do a donut, run a stop sign at an estimated 80 miles per hour, rear ended the small car, then lost control and had a head on collision with the SUV.

The driver of the pickup, 22 year old Cody Tyler Morgan, was arrested for intoxication assault resulting in serious injuries, reckless driving, unlawful carrying of a gun, and driving a vehicle with window tint that was too dark.

Brazos County district court records show Friday’s collisions took place two days after a judge ordered Morgan to install an alcohol interlock device on his vehicle. That followed an arrest May 8 by CSPD for misdemeanor DWI.

Brazos County jail records also show CSPD arrested Morgan June 8 for not having insurance, March 17 on a warrant from Walker County, September of 2024 for public intoxication, and August 2024 on warrants from Bryan police and Walker County.

Morgan remains in jail as of June 16 in lieu of bonds totaling $100,000 dollars.
