A College Station man accused of eluding Navasota and College Station police in a stolen vehicle in June is now charged of leading Madison County sheriff’s deputies in a stolen vehicle last week.

According to the Madison County sheriff’s Facebook page, 34 year old Matthew Jarrett is accused of burglarizing post office boxes in North Zulch and post offices in Leon County and Waller County.

On December 21, Jarrett led deputies on a high speed pursuit in a vehicle stolen in Waller County.

The chase ended when Jarrett crashed in Bryan.

In addition to charges from the stolen vehicles and chases, Jarrett is awaiting seven criminal trials in Brazos County on burglary and drug charges.

Madison County sheriff Bobby Adams told WTAW News on Christmas Eve that Jarrett remains held in the Madison County jail in lieu of bonds totaling $525,000 dollars.
