City Of Bryan Employee Suspended From Driving City Vehicles

A city of Bryan employee has been suspended from driving city vehicles. That’s after a train struck a trailer attached to a city truck and trailer last Friday (November 7) south of the downtown area at Finfeather and Dodge. A city spokeswoman says no one was injured and the driver received a ticket. The city statement also noted city police requires all employees to complete a defensive driving course within 90 days of being hired and every three years after that. City of Bryan statement: A City of Bryan employee was involved in a vehicle and train collision Friday at West Dodge Street and Finfeather Road. The city truck’s trailer was struck by the train. No injuries were reported. City policy requires all employees to complete a National Safety Council–approved defensive driving course within 90 days of hire and every three years after that. The employee received a traffic citation and is not permitted to drive on the job while the incident is under investigation. Original story November 7, 2025: Bryan police report a Friday afternoon collision of a train and a vehicle blocked multiple streets towards the downtown area. WTAW News has asked for additional information about the collision at the railroad crossing at the intersection of Dodge and Finfeather. A BPD Facebook post did not say if there were any casualties or the circumstances of what led to the collision.

College Station Man Arrested for Assault and Endangering a Child

A College Station man returns to jail for the third time in less than two years. According to the CSPD arrest report, officers responded to a home on Navarro Dr. for a civil disturbance. The victim told officers she and her boyfriend got into a verbal argument and she wanted him to pack his bags and leave the apartment. 41 year-old Derrick Moss says the victim threw a lighter at his head and admitted to picking it up and throwing it back at her striking her in the chest. The victim says Moss also hit her with a TV remote while she was holding their 14-month old son. Moss was charged with assault family violence causing bodily injury and endangering a child. According to online jail records, Moss is held in lieu of bonds totaling $10,000.
