College Station firefighters respond to six structure fire calls between Christmas Eve and the Tuesday after Christmas.

Tuesday just after four a.m. at a fourplex on Bosque, firefighters put out a fire to a bathroom exhaust fan.

Sunday at one in the morning at the SoCo apartments on Decatur, an aqua massage bed caught on fire in the clubhouse. The sprinkler system alerted CSFD and contained the fire to room where the bed was located.

Christmas evening there was what CSFD described as a smoke scare in a Frontier Communications building on Holleman East. The smoke came from either a back up generator or a blown transformer.

Christmas morning, a cooking fire on Hawk Tree Drive was contained to the oven.

The afternoon of Christmas Eve, another cooking fire was contained to an oven in a home on Arizona Street.

Also on Christmas Eve afternoon, CSFD responded to smoke inside the McDonald’s Towerpoint location. The smoke was the result of exhaust fans being shut down during repairs.

And on Tuesday, CSFD posted on its Facebook page that firefighters went to the beginning of the panhandle to assist in fighting wildfires around Childress.
