College Station firefighters responded to two structure fires on Thanksgiving.

The first, in the morning to a home on Chesapeake Court, turned out to be steam and vapor that was mistaken for smoke.

Around sunset on Thanksgiving, there was a small fire in an oven on Vassar Court that was contained inside the oven. The resident was cooking bacon inside the oven. Firefighters removed smoke from the home. No one was injured.
