College Station firefighters responded to two fire calls Thursday morning.
WTAW News has asked for additional information about a fire before 12 noon at Northpoint Crossing apartments at Texas and University.
CSFD responded at 5:47 a.m. to a report of someone smelling smoke in a residential neighborhood south of the Texas A&M campus. Ten minutes later, firefighters found a home on fire at the corner of Suffolk and Park Place. Multiple engine companies spent one hour getting the fire under control at the vacant home, which was being remodeled. No firefighters were injured. The fire was contained to the home. The cause is under investigation.
