College Station firefighters responded to fires at two city parks at nearly the same time Saturday afternoon.

In both cases, investigators do not believe they were intentionally or maliciously set.

Just after three p.m. Saturday, CSFD responded to bystanders calling out of an abundance of caution.

That’s after the bystanders extinguished a fire in a rotten tree stump at Central Park and a grass fire next to a walking path at Bee Creek Park that burned about six square feet.
