College Station Couple Arrested On Theft Charges Three Weeks After The Victim Follows The Suspects And Notifies Police

A College Station couple was arrested Monday for stealing a purse July 21st in an incident where the victim followed the couple from a College Station motel to a Bryan motel and notifies police.

According to the College Station police arrest report, 35 year old James Walley Foster III told officers the purse belonged to his wife.

31 year old Ashleigh Snider returned the purse to the police department after saying she thought it was her purse because it looked like her laptop case. The victim said the purse was missing 45 dollars and a smartphone SIM card.

The couple was arrested after officers reviewed security video showing the couple entering the motel lobby empty handed and Snider leaving with the victim’s purse.

Snider is out of jail after posting a $2,000 dollar bond on a misdemeanor theft charge.

Foster remains jailed as of Wednesday afternoon on a theft charge as well as charges of burglary of a building and giving a false statement from January and felony theft from last October. He is held on bonds totaling $24,000 dollars.
