College Station city council members have approved the design of the new city hall.
Councilman James Benham described the view those will have from inside the new building will go as far as Kyle Field.
Before the vote, Benham and John Nichols responded to Barry Moore’s question if there has been any discussion about naming the new building anything else besides city hall.
Before Thursday night’s meeting, the current council dedicated the site…behind the existing building, which will be demolished.
Groundbreaking won’t take place until a year from now.
And mayor Karl Mooney expects the new city hall will be completed…weather permitting…in 2022.
