College Station City Council Recount Ends Early With No Change In The Outcome

The recount in the College Station city council place one election ends after challenger Jason Cornelius withdrew his request.

According to the city of College Station, Cornelius withdrew after a recount of absentee and mail-in ballots resulted in no change in the outcome.

Bob Brick won re-election by five votes, the closest margin ever in a College Station council election.

Brick received 15,395 votes, and Cornelius had 15,390.

College Station city voters still have one council seat to decide. A runoff election is scheduled December 15 between place five candidates John Nichols and Craig Regan.
