College Station City Council Receives Bond Committee Recommendations

The College Station city council has been asked to consider a list of 18 projects to include in a possible bond issue this November.

No action was taken by the council following Thursday’s presentation from leaders of a 23 member volunteer committee.

The total estimated value of the recommended projects is $182,150,000.

According to city staff, $45 to $60 million in bonds can be issued without increasing property tax rates.

The council has until August 17 to decide in August whether to have the bond election and if so, what projects to include.

Between now and then, comments are still being accepted by sending an email to 2015bond@cstx.gov.
