Cold Temps Bring Out Bryan Firefighters

Bryan firefighters had two calls Monday related to the first time furnaces were turned on.

Investigator William Bouse says the Popeye’s restaurant at Harvey Mitchell and Villa Maria will be closed for up to two weeks after sustaining an estimated $10,000 dollars in fire damage.

And at the Bryan Kinder Care on Royal Street near South College, Bouse says firemen checked out what he calls a “smell scare” also due to dust accumulated in the furnace.

William Bouse visits with WTAW’s Bill Oliver about Monday’s two fire calls and other fire safety information.
