City Of Bryan Announces Extension Of Pool Closure And Upcoming Cemetery Cleanup Dates

The Bryan Aquatic center was supposed to reopen Monday.

City officials say the pool will remain closed another week, until next Monday, to finish ADA improvements in the parking lot and locker rooms.

The city reports the contractor ran into undisclosed and unexpected issues.

News release from the city of Bryan about upcoming cemetery cleanup dates:

Beginning this month, City of Bryan Parks & Recreation will conduct quarterly clean-ups at the Bryan City Cemetery to ensure a respectful appearance and to allow for ongoing maintenance at the cemetery.

This first clean-up will occur the last week of February, and subsequent clean-ups will occur on a quarterly basis during the second weeks of February, May, August and November each year.

During the clean-up, the city may remove any non-allowed items as well as live and artificial flowers that are dead, faded or tattered. Families are encouraged to remove any items they wish to keep in advance of the scheduled clean-up.
