
New businesses being built in the parking lot of the Bryan Walmart on Briarcrest has been talked about for two years. Now, it’s going to happen.
That means the closure of the city of Bryan’s recycling center.
The city has announced the last day of operations is February 16th.
During a recent visit on WTAW’s The Infomaniacs, deputy city manager Hugh Walker says the city will continue tire recycling at the municipal services center on Waco Street.

Last May, the Bryan city council decided to let the private sector take care of most common recycling materials.
