A five year winning streak is on the line between the cities…in the competition of which city council can raise the most money in the Salvation Army’s holiday red kettle campaign.
The mayoral challenge…on December 3rd…was a subject was brought up Monday night at both city council meetings.
In Bryan, that was part of the thanks that city manager Kean Register gave to former mayor Jason Bienski.
The challenge was accepted by College Station’s new mayor, Karl Mooney, who will be among those at Wal-Mart.
Members of the Bryan council will be at the Wal-Mart on Briarcrest.
