The third time a Bryan man goes to jail in nine months and the 21st time in 18 years is on 19 charges. Bryan police responding to a disturbance Christmas Eve morning just before sunrise arrested 37 year old David Towell Jr. with 15 types of illegal drugs. BPD arrest reports totaling 72 pages say officers found a case containing the drugs being carried by a man who walking away from the disturbance near Sue Haswell Park. Towell was also charged with evading arrest, two burglaries, and child endangerment. Towell remains in jail as of December 29th in lieu of bonds totaling $306,000 dollars.
A College Station man is arrested for the second time this month, the fourth time since July, and the 13th time in 12 years. Jail records show 31 year old Jacquinton Echols was charged with robbery, unlawful possession and carrying of a gun by a felon, and possessing synthetic marijuana. Bryan police arrest reports say last Tuesday (December 23), Echols took a gun belonging to a woman he knows then drove away on a scooter. The woman, who fell when the scooter was leaving, received hospital treatment for a head injury. Echols, who is awaiting a trial on felony charges of evading arrest and manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance, remains in jail as of December 29th in lieu of bonds totaling $160,000 dollars.
A 20 year old Bryan man is arrested on charges during the Christmas season for the second time in three years. 15 pages of arrest reports from Bryan police details the search that took place during the midnight hour on December 21st in a mobile home community off Tabor Road that ended with the capture of Zykerion Kennedy and an unidentified juvenile. Kennedy was charged with two vehicle burglaries, stealing a gun, unlawful carrying of a gun, and evading arrest with a prior conviction. At the time of this arrest, Kennedy was on probation for felony theft that took place on Christmas Day in 2022. Kennedy remains in jail as of December 29th in lieu of bonds totaling $35,000 dollars.
